About SEL

Job OverviewAs a Sales Engineer, you will develop strong customer partnerships and deliver innovative products and turnkey solutions across Central America and the Caribbean.
Responsibilities- Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers in the utility and industrial sectors.
- Understand customer requirements and objectives to determine, communicate, and deliver optimal SEL solutions.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of all SEL products and educate customers on SEL technology and innovation.
- Read and interpret project specifications and technical drawings.
- Ensure solutions comply with SEL standards, terms, and conditions.
- Develop, maintain, and achieve quarterly order forecasts and sales goals.
- Collect, analyze, and report industry, competitor, and customer trends to the broader SEL organization.
- Collaborate with customers, SEL factories, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to resolve customer feedback and product issues.
- Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking, and sales activities.
- Help develop strategic annual plans for the Central America and Caribbean countries.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in technical sales.
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or technical sales.
- Utility and industrial industry experience in Central America and the Caribbean regions.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent U.S. residency.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated success in a customer‑facing role.
- Ability to travel 70% of the time.
- Effective and engaging communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage opportunities end‑to‑end independently and with urgency.
- Willingness to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Team‑oriented and cooperative work style.
- Master’s degree in business administration, management, or a related discipline.
- Experience using SEL products.
- Leadership experience.
This position is located in Wesley Chapel, FL.
