About Our Agency

We’re a successful State Farm agency serving families across the Wesley Chapel area. Our team focuses on protecting customers’ homes, vehicles, and futures with a high standard of trust, responsiveness, and long-term service. We’re currently seeking a plus-level Acquisition Specialist to help grow new business—starting with auto/homeowners and expanding into life and health when it’s the right opportunity.

About the Role

As our Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for converting agency-provided leads into new policyholders and building lasting customer relationships. While we have other producers in the agency, this role is specifically focused on owning the acquisition process for new customers and pivoting into additional lines (Homeowners, Life, Health, etc.) as needs arise.

This role may also be a pathway to a future Agent promotion for someone who wants long-term growth and leadership.

What You’ll Do
1) Acquire New Business (Primary)
  • Follow up on leads sourced by the agency (quick response + strong conversion habits).
  • Set appointments and run effective, needs-based conversations.
  • Quote, present options, handle objections, and close new policies.
  • Maintain clear and accurate activity/notes in the agency CRM.
2) Pivot to Additional Opportunities (Critical Expectation)
  • When appropriate for the customer, expand conversations into:
    • Homeowners
    • Life
    • Health
    • Other opportunities as assigned/available based on customer need and agency strategy
  • Use judgment to prioritize the best outcome for the customer and the agency.
  • Coordinate smoothly with other producers so the customer experience stays seamless.
3) Deliver a Great Customer Experience
  • Be professional, responsive, and trustworthy throughout the sales process.
  • Ensure smooth handoff to service/support teammates after the sale.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve conversion and customer satisfaction.
4) Support Long-Term Growth (Agent Track Optional)
  • Learn agency operations, customer retention drivers, and the full lifecycle of a durable book of business.
  • Demonstrate performance, coachability, and leadership potential for an Agent transition when desired.
Success Metrics (Examples)
  • New policies/clients written (by line)
  • Conversion rate (appointment → quote → bind)
  • Timeliness of follow-up and lead handling
  • Pipeline discipline / CRM accuracy
  • Quality of customer experience and retention support
Qualifications (Plus-Level) – Required
  • Proven success in sales/acquisition (insurance preferred, but relevant experience considered).
  • Strong consultative selling skills: discovery, needs-based selling, objection handling, closing.
  • Professional communication and strong follow-up discipline.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Willingness to learn the agency process and uphold conversion standards.
  • CRM comfort and accuracy.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required insurance licenses for the lines you will sell (typically Property & Casualty and, depending on responsibilities, Life & Health).
  • Ability to comply with State Farm/agency requirements.
  • Owns outcomes and takes initiative.
  • Adapts quickly—pivots based on customer need (not rigid scripts).
  • Coachable and performance-driven.
  • Interested in long-term career growth (including potential Agent path).
  • Base salary + commission
  • Additional incentives may be available based on performance and production mix.
