This position is closely aligned with the category team and deploying our global strategic initiatives within the region, North America. You work closely with our supply chain community and constructively challenge the business regarding identification and co-development of new value generating opportunities.

• Responsibility for category management and supplier relationship management for the assigned category scope.
• Developing and implementing a sustainable global category strategy aligned with business needs.
• Negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve value creation, mitigate risks and decouple cost from growth.
• Conducting relevant change management activities to ensure that your results are anchored in the organization.
• Driving and fostering strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, including operations, quality, sustainability, finance, and legal teams.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks within the supply chain, such as geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors.
• Delivering on global business targets and KPIs supporting the overall strategy and roadmap of Global Packaging Procurement.

• Strategic Procurement and/or business-related experience within Packaging for minimum 3 years, combined with relevant education at master level within Business, Packaging, Supply Chain, or relevant.
• Proven experience as a Category Manager with a track record of successful strategic Procurement.
• Categories includes different packaging material used across Novonesis sites in North America.
• Have knowledge from the Production or Packaging industry with a holistic, commercial, and strategic mind-set.
• Be passionate about category team and procurement skill development.
• Strategic and analytical thinking, excellent negotiation skills and good knowledge of commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with in Biotech, Food, Life Science or similar regulated industries is seen as an advantage.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a complex, changing, and global environment.
