IT Help Desk Engineer
Location:
West Allis, WI.
Heritage Senior Living is seeking an IT Help Desk Engineer to join our corporate support team located in West Allis, WI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Responding to and logging helpdesk emails and phone calls.
- Setting up workstations (laptops, desktops, printers, etc.).
- Setting up mobile devices (iPhones, Android) and configuring MDM software.
- Setting up tablet devices (iPads, Android).
- Adding and removing users in Active Directory, Office 365, Sharepoint, and other software.
- Training and assisting new users on how to use the computer and software services.
- Developing training materials and manuals and facilitating information systems training.
- Checking computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboard, etc.) to ensure functionality.
- Setting up and assisting with audio and visual needs such as projectors, TVs, PowerPoint, and conference calls.
- Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications (e.g., printer, copier, or scanning drivers).
- Researching and remaining current with IT trends, system updates, and recommending improvements.
- Assisting in developing and maintaining local networks to optimize performance and creating procedures for emergencies.
- Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults.
- Ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Organizing and scheduling upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
- Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.).
- Maintaining records and logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
- Identifying computer or network equipment shortages.
- Communicating clearly and hearing at normal workplace volume.
- Writing at a professional level and being able to read and interpret written information.
- Being able to sit, stand, walk, and kneel occasionally throughout an 8‑ to 12‑hour work day.
- Being able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Being able to see reading materials, monitors, and paper logs at a distance of up to 50 feet.
- Possessing attendance and punctuality to work 8‑ to 12‑hour days.
