Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure personal and workplace safety.
  • Weld all required thicknesses and materials such as 1/16"+ with AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese using proper filler metal.
  • Fit and assemble independently, including training others.
  • Apply expertise in open table fitting and welding.
  • Read blueprints accurately.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Take direction from a lead or leader on assigned daily tasks.
  • Determine the proper tools and machinery required to complete the production schedule.
  • Perform a final inspection of all parts to meet quality standards.
  • Complete required monthly safety training.
  • Complete required PMs on department machinery.
  • Provide support and backup as needed on all other assigned projects and/or tasks.
  • Support BCT's culture and core values.
  • Qualifications
    • 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
    • 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
    • Ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
    • Attention to detail and thoroughness with all tasks.
    • Ability to make decisions and follow through.
    • Ability to perform multiple welding disciplines such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
    Education and/or Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
    • Welding certification preferred but not required.
