Our client, a leading electronics manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated SMT Operator to join their team. As an SMT Operator, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting the assembly of printed circuit boards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: SMT Operator

Location: Cumberland, WI

Pay Range: $17 - $17.50

Shift: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday

What's the Job?
  • Operate, maintain, and program automated and semi-automated equipment used in PCB assembly.
  • Program and operate computer-controlled SMT machines to place electronic components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Prepare and load component reels or tubing into feeding mechanisms for SMT machines.
  • Inspect assembled PCBs for defects, missing components, or placement issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal operation.
What's Needed?
  • Training and experience with IPC-610 standards or equivalent preferred but will train.
  • Familiarity with ISO processes and procedures preferred but will train.
  • Experience in electronic assembly, component prep, insertion, soldering, and testing preferred but will train.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
