Granite Hills Hospital offers high-quality, patient-centered care for the greater Milwaukee community. With a wide range of treatment for children, adolescents, adults and older adults, our mission is to provide much-needed outcome-focused care for those who need it most. Our new 120-bed facility will feature evidence-based treatment modalities and a multi-disciplinary team led by expert medical professionals. The 120 beds are split into 5 groups of 24 with enclosed outdoor spaces to promote healing.

This is a Full Time position from 7pm - 7:30am, 3 days a week, 36 hours a week.
This position qualifies for a $15,000 Sign on Bonus.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing medical detoxification, including assessment and monitoring of withdrawal symptoms.
• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients under the guidance of the physicians.
• Conduct safety checks and implement appropriate behavioral management techniques.
• Monitor, report, and document patient behaviors and overall wellbeing.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as needed under the guidance of the treatment team.
• Maintain the core values and mission of Granite Hills Hospital.

All new hires MUST attend a full, 2 week orientation from 8-4:30pm

  Job Requirements:
  
  
  • Current Wisconsin or Compact RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred.
  • Minimum requirements are one (1) year of psychiatric/Detox nursing experience, or two (2) years with proven leadership, strong clinical skills, and high motivation.
  • Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.
  • ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
