Overview
Rogers Behavioral Health is a not‑for‑profit behavioral health system with a long history of providing top‑quality psychiatric services and leading research. The organization serves adults, children, and adolescents through multiple levels of care: inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services across Wisconsin and nine other states.
Responsibilities- Serve as a team leader in the patient care model and collaborate with a physician to provide medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and evidence‑based treatment through the Wisconsin Opioid Recovery Telehealth Immediate Treatment (WORTH IT) program.
- Attend patients at assigned locations or provide virtual services, conduct medication management sessions, psychiatric evaluations, histories, and physicals, and create and update treatment plans.
- Provide patient and family education, participate in team and unit meetings, and create discharge plans within established call schedules.
- Document patient care within 24hours, perform coding, and meet documentation and coding standards.
- Serve as an attending provider for assigned units, round on patients as required, and lead medication education with nursing staff.
- Attend the Medical Staff meeting and the Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting.
- Maintain positive relationships with contracted payors, review denials, and coordinate care with referring parties and primary providers.
- Advocate for the organization by providing support, education, and services; participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Identify new program development opportunities and engage in community education on behavioral health issues.
- Provide admissions support: review screening information, recommend placement, determine level of care, and communicate professionally with other departments or agencies.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff and other providers across Rogers.
- Assist with payor relations and policy execution to ensure compliance with EMTALA.
- Participate in employer marketing activities and outreach as appropriate.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict‑resolution, and organizational skills.
- Judgment to plan activities, formulate policies, delegate responsibilities, and decide on diagnosis and treatment.
- Strong communication skills—verbal, hearing, written, and the ability to read, write, and communicate through written, verbal, and auditory modalities.
- Capable of walking, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20pounds; manual dexterity required for office equipment.
- Requires a physical examination by a licensed AHP to verify ability to perform duties.
- License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Provider in the state.
- Board eligible; board certification preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited college or university.
- Successful completion of required practical training in psychiatry.
- At least two years of experience as a provider in a licensed hospital or clinic.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a behavioral health organization preferred.
- Experience with process improvement implementation preferred.
