RN Tele (Registered Nurse – Telemetry)

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 1900 - 0730, every other weekend
• Night shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week

• Level IV Trauma Center
• Level III NICU
• Primary Stroke Center
• Hospital Beds: 277

  At least 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience
• First‑time traveler:
  Yes

All Med/Surg patient types

Depends on staffing – average up to 6 patients per nurse

• BLS, NIHSS
• ACLS – preferred

• General Med/Surg skill set
• Trach management
• Chest tube management
• Interpret cardiac rhythm strips
  
  Lasix, insulin, heparin injections
• Wound vacs

• CNA/Tech
• HUC
• RNs
• Rapid Response Team
• Phlebotomy – peripheral lab draws
• Charge Nurse
• Telemetry monitoring: central with telemetry tech

• EMR: EPIC – required
• IV Pump:
  Alaris
• Med dispensing:
  Pyxis

To any Med/Surg unit – assignment will be given by checking in with the House Supervisor

1 shift (facility and unit)

• Weekend rotation: every other
• On call:
  No
• Holiday expectations: every other major holiday

Participants only: RTO – up to 7 days if the traveler is willing to extend their contract to accommodate.
