Position: Registered Nurse (RN): Emergency Department

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department at Aurora West Allis Medical Center, West Allis, WI. Full‑time 36 hours per week on a 12‑hour shift schedule with overnight, weekend, and holiday rotations. Compensation ranges from $38.20 to $57.30 an hour.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and communication to create the safest patient environment.
  • Lead efforts to improve patient experience across the continuum.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • One year RN experience preferred; candidates with prior emergency medical services or health‑care experience acceptable.
  • Registered Nurse license issued in the state in which the candidate practices.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Must obtain ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification (upon hire).
Work Environment

West Allis Medical Center is a Level‑4 Trauma, Primary Stroke, Geriatric‑Certified Emergency Department that averages approximately 42,000 visits per year. The team cares for adult and pediatric patients with acute trauma, acute illnesses, chronic health‑care conditions, women’s health issues, and behavioral health concerns.
