This role is hands‑on and focuses on installing, programming, and maintaining custom residential audio/video and smart home systems. . The ideal technician combines technical expertise with strong client‑facing skills, ensuring every installation is precise, reliable, and tailored to the homeowner's needs.
- Install and integrate residential AV systems, including home theaters, distributed audio, smart lighting, and security devices.
- Program and configure Control4, Crestron, Savant, or comparable home automation platforms.
- Execute whole‑home audio, video surveillance, WiFi networking, and automation installations with accuracy.
- Mount TVs, assemble racks, run wiring, and terminate low‑voltage cabling correctly.
- Test, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for flawless operation.
- Guide clients on system use, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers and colleagues to ensure projects in West Allis are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Hands‑on experience with residential AV systems and smart home integration (Control4, Crestron, Savant, or similar).
