Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage core accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records for our West Babylon, New York location. This position is well suited for someone who is confident handling day-to-day bookkeeping independently, from transaction processing through account reconciliation. The ideal candidate brings strong Quick Books expertise and a steady, detail-oriented approach to payables, receivables, and overall financial organization.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.

- Process vendor invoices and payments on schedule while monitoring outstanding obligations and resolving discrepancies.

- Manage customer billing activities, track incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to support healthy cash flow.

- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to confirm balances, identify variances, and correct posting issues promptly.

- Maintain and update accounting records in Quick Books, ensuring data integrity and consistency across financial reports.

- Prepare routine financial summaries and supporting documentation to assist with internal review and business decision-making.

- Review daily accounting activity for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established bookkeeping practices. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping with responsibility for end-to-end accounting support.

- Strong hands-on proficiency with Quick Books in a bookkeeping or accounting environment that requires attention to detail.

- Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable, including invoice review, payment processing, and record maintenance.

- Demonstrated experience handling accounts receivable, including billing, payment tracking, and collection follow-up.

- Solid background in completing bank reconciliations and investigating account discrepancies.

- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when working with financial data.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple accounting tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
