Superintendent, Construction

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial interior construction projects across Long Island. This role involves managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within scope. Projects include retail and medical fit‑outs, interior demolition, MEP coordination, framing, drywall, and HVAC installation.

• Oversee day‑to‑day field operations across multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics.
• Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct and document daily field reports using project software (Autodesk).
• Coordinate inspections and ensure all critical milestones and inspection points are met.
• Proactively identify and solve field‑related issues to maintain schedule.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Support scheduling adjustments, including occasional night work if required.

• 2–5+ years of construction experience.
• Preferred experience managing commercial interior/fit‑out projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, interior construction sequencing, and inspection processes.
• Proven ability to problem‑solve in the field and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with construction management software (Autodesk preferred).
• Willingness to travel between job sites in Long Island.

• General construction knowledge.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to provide two professional references and a full job list and specifications.

This role is remote from the Hartford office, but is fully onsite in West Babylon, NY. The work environment supports a great team culture. Project assignments include IVF infusion centers, Insomnia Cookies, and Quest Diagnostics.

Contract to Hire position based out of West Babylon, NY.

Pay range: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour.
