Construction Superintendent

Construx Co LLC is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial interior construction projects across Long Island. This role will be responsible for managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within scope. Projects primarily consist of retail and medical fit-outs, including interior demolition, MEP coordination, framing, drywall, and HVAC installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple concurrent projects
• Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Conduct and document daily field reports using project software (Autodesk)
• Coordinate inspections and ensure all critical milestones and inspection points are met
• Proactively identify and solve field-related issues to maintain schedule
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal teams
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Support scheduling adjustments, including occasional night work if required

Qualifications:

• 25+ years of construction experience (Superintendent or Foreman-level candidates encouraged)
• Experience managing commercial interior/fit-out projects preferred
• Strong understanding of: MEP systems, interior construction sequencing, inspection processes
• Proven ability to problem-solve in the field and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Familiarity with construction management software (Autodesk preferred)
• Willingness to travel between job sites (Long Island)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Babylon, NY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
