Javin Machine Corp. is seeking a Class 1 Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, and is prepared to set up and operate a variety of CNC lathes and mill-turn machines.

• Setting up and operating CNC lathes to manufacture aerospace parts
• Reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings
• Providing ideas to improve manufacturing and make suggestions for process improvement
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, if needed
• Light/simple program writing, if needed

• At least 5 years’ experience in tight tolerance manufacturing required
• Familiarity with Lathes and Fanuc Controls
• The ability to do some light programming (simple conversational programs at a minimum)
• The ability to read manufacturing prints and understand GD&T
• The ability to use manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial bores, etc. Effectively and accurately.
• Strong attention to detail
• Manual/Conventional machine experience is a huge plus
• Experience with Mastercam and Autodesk Inventor is a huge plus, but not required

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
