Registered Nurse; RN Weekends

SCHEDULE

Weekends or every other weekend

Berkshire Center, located in West Babylon, NY, is looking for skilled RNs to join our Nursing team in delivering high quality care to our residents. Here, compassionate care meets clinical excellence.

• Maintain meaningful and accurate documentation of services provided.
• Identify and prioritize client care needs based on client history and nursing assessment.
• Perform client triage, assessments, and monitor for symptoms of acute withdrawal and/or intoxication and the client’s response to intervention and treatment.
• Closely monitor clients during administration of medications. Ensure medication schedule is timely and adheres to unit policy and protocol.
• Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Deliver shift-to-shift reports and communication that support consistent client follow‑up.
• Complete nursing treatment plans that comprehensively address client needs and available resources.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
• Take direction from the immediate supervisor and operate in a shift leadership role as part of a multidisciplinary team/program.

• Currently licensed by the State of New York.
• Have previous nursing home experience.
• Be mentally and physically capable of performing job duties.
• Possess leadership and supervisory qualities.
• Be able to efficiently assess patients to recognize changes in condition.
• Coordinate all functions in the operation of a nursing unit through effective teamwork.
