Berkshire Center is seeking an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Recreation Supervisor to join our Recreation Department. This leadership role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life of our residents through engaging recreational programming and meaningful resident interactions.

• Assist in the daily operation and supervision of the Recreation Department.

• Assume departmental leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Recreation Director.

• Plan, assign, and facilitate group activities and individualized 1:1 resident programs.

• Complete MDS assessments, care plans, new admission evaluations, quarterly reviews, and significant change assessments accurately and within required time frames.

• Monitor resident participation and report concerns, changes, or issues to the Recreation Director.

• Provide support and coverage for Recreation Leaders as needed.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all facility and regulatory requirements.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing home setting or recreational program within the past 5 years.

• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Computer proficiency required; experience with Sigma Care EMR preferred.

• Must be dependable, flexible, and resident-focused.

• Ability to transport residents safely to and from activities.

• Ability to set up and break down activity spaces, including moving tables and chairs.

• Must be capable of performing physical tasks requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds.
