Electrical Project Manager Overview

Job Responsibilities

+ Manage electrical projects from pre-construction through final closeout

+ Oversee all phases of project execution, including estimating, planning, scheduling, and client reporting

+ Prepare project estimates and perform job costing analysis

+ Take field measurements and develop project scopes when drawings are unavailable

+ Coordinate directly with clients, vendors, and field personnel

+ Lead and supervise a team of approximately 6 electricians and field staff

+ Monitor labor productivity, project budgets, and timelines

+ Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards

+ Provide hands-on support in the field when necessary in a smaller-company environment

Qualifications

+ Electrical industry required

+ Approximately 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade

+ Previous experience as a Journeyman, Foreman, Lead Electrician, or similar leadership role

+ Strong understanding of electrical installations, labor planning, and project execution

+

Experience with estimating, job costing, or project coordination is highly preferred

+ Excellent communication and leadership skills

+ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accountability for project outcomes

Requirements

+ Proven electrical field experience

+ Ability to read plans, take field measurements, and develop project solutions

+ Strong supervisory and team leadership abilities

+ Comfortable working in both office and field environments as needed

+ OSHA certification preferred (company will sponsor additional training and certifications)

+ No college degree required

+ No formal certifications required

Schedule

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Babylon, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
