PLUMBING MECHANIC
Location: Field-Based | Service Area: NYC Boroughs

Schedule: 1st Shift | On-Call as Needed
Compensation: $40–$55/hour
Our client is seeking an experienced Plumbing Mechanic to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial plumbing systems and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of professional commercial plumbing experience and be comfortable working with commercial-grade fixtures, piping systems, and plumbing equipment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose plumbing problems and perform repairs on commercial plumbing systems
- Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment
- Install and repair commercial-grade toilets, urinals, sinks, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures
- Locate and repair water line leaks and remove clogs
- Test plumbing systems and installed fixtures to ensure proper operation
- Read and interpret technical designs, drawings, and blueprints
- Follow applicable state laws, local building codes, and safety regulations
- Respond to plumbing emergencies and perform repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- 3–5+ years of professional commercial plumbing experience required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Completion of a vocational plumbing program, associate degree, or apprenticeship preferred
- Experience installing and repairing commercial-grade plumbing fixtures, including toilets and urinals
- Ability to read and interpret technical designs, drawings, and blueprints
- Proficient with plumbing tools, materials, and equipment
- Strong knowledge of piping and ventilation systems
- Valid state driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively
- Must be available for on-call work and respond to plumbing emergencies when needed
- $45–$55/hour, based on experience
- Standard 1st shift schedule
- On-call availability required when needed
