Photographer - Onsite / Hybrid - West Bend, WI
Delta Defense is seeking a full-time Photographer & Photo Editor to help scale and elevate our visual storytelling across the entire organization. This role will be responsible for producing high-quality, brand-aligned photography that supports eCommerce, training, marketing campaigns, digital sales, partnerships, and internal communications

The ideal candidate is both a skilled photographer and strong post-production editor
, with experience managing shoots end-to-end—from concept and shot list development through final delivery. This role requires a balance of creative vision, technical execution, and production management, with experience photographing products, people, and real-world lifestyle scenarios
. Experience with firearms and shooting environments gives you an edge.
- Capture high-quality product, lifestyle, training, and brand photography across studio and on-location environments.
- Execute studio photography for eCommerce, product launches, and marketing assets.
- Lead on-location lifestyle shoots featuring instructors, members, partners, and talent.
- Ensure safe, compliant handling and depiction of firearms during all shoots.
- Partner with Creative Director, designers, and marketers to translate creative briefs into compelling visual concepts.
- Develop detailed shot lists, mood boards, and visual references aligned to brand guidelines.
- Provide on-set art direction to ensure consistency in lighting, composition, and brand tone.
- Maintain a consistent visual style across all channels and departments.
- Perform professional-level photo editing and retouching (color correction, compositing, cleanup, consistency).
- Prepare optimized assets for use across web, eCommerce, paid media, print, and social platforms.
- Maintain and evolve post-production workflows for efficiency and quality.
- Own photography production planning including scheduling, location coordination, talent and subject management, and equipment preparation.
- Manage asset organization, naming conventions, and archival systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to anticipate upcoming content needs and plan shoots proactively.
- Support multiple departments including eCommerce & Store, Training, Marketing & Brand, Digital Sales, and Partnerships & PR.
- Serve as a trusted creative partner, enabling faster turnaround and higher-quality deliverables.
Required:
- 5+ years of professional photography experience (in-house, agency, or equivalent)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- Product photography
- Lifestyle photography
- Studio lighting and setup
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
- Proven experience managing shoots from concept through final delivery
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and lighting
- Experience working within established brand guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience photographing firearms, shooting sports, tactical gear, or outdoor products
- Familiarity with firearm safety protocols and handling best practices
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-sensitive industries
- Video or motion experience is a plus
- Experience collaborating with creative directors and art directors
- Creative thinker who solves on the fly
