Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the following Section 42 properties for senior and multi-family residents:

• River Bluff Townhomes, West Bend, WI
• Spring Harbor Apartments, Port Washington, WI
• Granville Heights, Brown Deer, WI

This position involves performing various maintenance tasks, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and renovations to keep our apartment buildings in top condition. The technician will work with vendors for warranty repairs as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional resident service. This is a part-time benefitted position, approximately 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting)
• Diagnose and repair issues promptly in apartments and common areas
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment
• Collaborate with contractors and team members to complete projects on time and within budget

Preventative Maintenance:

• Implement and follow preventative maintenance schedules
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities
• Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment

Emergency Repairs:

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
• Be available for rotating on-call duties within the Milwaukee market

Resident Relations:

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing requests and concerns professionally
• Communicate effectively with residents and management about maintenance issues

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety regulations
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Participate in safety training and meetings

Compensation: $25-30 hourly wage
