Position Title: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations and drive accountability
  • Lead employee recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and performance management
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, attendance and performance matters
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including labor agreements if applicable
  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet established schedules and customer demand
  • Assign personnel and monitor workflow to ensure efficient resource utilization
  • Track production metrics and adjust staffing or processes as needed
  • Ensure equipment is operating properly and coordinate maintenance when necessary
  • Maintain adherence to lean manufacturing and cost control principles
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
  • Participate in safety initiatives and corrective action efforts
  • Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications
  • Partner with Quality teams to address and resolve production issues
  • Reinforce quality expectations through communication and performance monitoring
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • Support cross-training efforts to enhance team flexibility and efficiency
  • Utilize visual management tools and daily communication methods to drive performance
  • Monitor daily staffing levels and adjust assignments based on production needs
  • Collaborate with other departments to balance resources and maintain workflow
  • Drive initiatives to improve safety, productivity, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in cross-functional problem-solving and improvement efforts
  • Support implementation of systems and processes that enhance performance and reduce waste
Requirements for Production Supervisor:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid time management and organizational abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency
