Provides direct and indirect nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, determining the objectives of nursing care within the framework of the physician's plan of medical care, the patient's needs, standards of nursing practice, legal regulations and ambulatory surgery center policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, and quality of performance.

A minimum of 1 year in Med/Surg, ambulatory surgery, PACU, or OR nursing is preferred.

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC. AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
