Overview

A well-established property management company is seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to help oversee a 64-unit market-rate apartment community in West Bend, WI. This full-time role supports the day-to-day operations of eight residential buildings.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the daily operations of a 64-unit market-rate apartment community.
  • Assist with leasing activities including responding to inquiries, scheduling tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate with residents and vendors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Assist with lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and security deposit processing.
  • Maintain accurate resident files and property records.
  • Help monitor rent collections and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
  • Work closely with the Regional Manager while developing the ability to independently manage day-to-day responsibilities.

You play an important role in creating a positive resident experience while helping maintain high occupancy and efficient property operations. Your organization, communication skills, and willingness to take initiative will directly contribute to the success of this close-knit apartment community.

What It Takes
  • 1–3+ years of property management or related experience.
  • Experience with leasing, resident relations, or property administration preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with App Folio or similar property management software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
