Deli Clerk

As a Deli Clerk at Meijer, you'll deliver friendly, responsive service within our Customer Service & Support team. You will slice, weigh, and package meats and cheeses, prepare fresh deli items, and ensure all products meet Meijer's quality and food safety standards. Responsibilities include maintaining clean, well-stocked cases, rotating inventory, and accurately operating deli equipment and POS systems. You'll support Meijer's culture of respect, diversity, and teamwork while helping customers find what they need and enjoy opportunities for growth in our Retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt service at the deli counter, answering customer questions and taking orders.
• Slice, weigh, price, and package meats, cheeses, and prepared foods accurately and safely.
• Follow all food safety, temperature control, and sanitation standards.
• Prepare and stock deli cases with fresh products, ensuring proper rotation and labeling.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area, including equipment and display cases.
• Operate slicers, scales, and POS systems according to safety and company guidelines.
• Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Customer Service & Support team members to ensure a positive shopping experience.
