Job Description
JL Business Interiors is seeking a full-time Office Furniture Installer / Field Supervisor to join our installation team. This role is ideal for an experienced installer who can lead by example in the field, oversee day‑to‑day installation activities, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to JLBI standards.
The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, project a professional image, and be comfortable working independently and leading a small team in a corporate environment. Light construction experience is required. We offer full benefits and an excellent work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support installation crews on job sites, setting the pace and standard for quality and professionalism
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for installation activities, coordinating with project managers and internal teams as needed
- Oversee daily workflow, task assignments, and job-site organization to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Perform hands‑on furniture installation, reconfiguration, and service work alongside the team
- Ensure all installations meet JLBI quality, safety, and client expectations
- Identify and communicate job-site challenges, solutions, and progress updates
- Maintain accurate documentation, including installation reports, service logs, and records
- Support training, mentoring, and development of installation team members
- Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and efficient job-site environment
- Ability to work independently and in team settings with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in installation, construction, or a related field
- Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
- Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer‑focused demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Proficiency using hand and power tools for assembly and installation
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Commitment to personal accountability and continuous improvement
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a clean driving record
