Shop Assistant​/Yard Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, organized Shop Worker to join our fencing team in West Bend. You will keep our daily operations running smoothly by managing inventory, preparing project materials, and maintaining a clean shop environment. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and early morning starts.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Prep: Gather, organize, and bundle specific fencing materials ordered from suppliers for upcoming jobs.
• Material Fabrication: Cut down wood/metal and drill out fence posts according to specific job dimensions.
• Loading & Staging: Load materials safely and efficiently onto trucks and trailers using heavy equipment.
• Shop Maintenance: Keep the shop, yard, and inventory spaces clean, organized, and free of debris.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Driver's License: Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Towing Experience: Must feel comfortable and confident hitching and pulling a material trailer.
• Equipment Operation: Experience operating a skid steer and forklift is required.
• Welding Skills: Basic welding ability is preferred but not required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
