Drivers operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments depending on the line of business and truck. They transport material to disposal, transfer or recycle facilities when trucks reach legal load capacity. Roles include transporting waste or recyclable material; containers may weigh over 1,000 pounds and require backing maneuvers. Residential Drivers collect residential waste or recyclables;
Roll-off Drivers handle large containers on industrial routes. Backing maneuvers are essential.

Operate vehicle in accordance with Safety Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements and all local, state and federal laws.

Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks (DVIR).

Notify Operations Manager of unsafe situations, incidents, or service-related issues.

Attend training and meetings; work with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies; notify of incidents or service interruptions; communicate customer requests; ensure receptacles are dumped and area is clean; follow route assignments and complete paperwork; assist other drivers as directed.

A. Required Qualifications

- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving in the last 7 years; must be at least 18 and legally eligible to work; ability to read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records; successfully complete pre-employment screening including drug screen and physical; CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement or Class B with air-brake endorsement.

B. Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
