Job Summary:

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiologic procedures to evaluate patients as ordered by a physician. Responsible for proper imaging techniques, patient positioning, radiation safety, and documentation.

• Explain procedures and prepare patients for exams
• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures per physician orders
• Set up and operate radiologic equipment
• Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Administer IV contrast (if applicable) and monitor for reactions
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and supplies
• Ensure proper documentation in PACS and RIS
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards
• Assist with training of new staff or students as needed

• High School Diploma or GED required
• ARRT Registered in Radiography (or registry eligible – must obtain within 6 months)
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) required
• Must maintain continuing education requirements
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Hospital setting (may include IPD/OR/ER and mobile units)
• Exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment
• May lift/move patients or equipment (10+ lbs)
