Job Summary

The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing sterile instruments and supplies to all members of the healthcare team. This role ensures proper decontamination, sterilization, inspection, and distribution of medical and surgical equipment while maintaining strict infection control standards.

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor temperature gauges
• Prepare and distribute sterile trays and supplies to clinical departments
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing environment

• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract
• Ability to read and interpret temperature gauges
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic math and documentation skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
  AND one of the following:
• Completion of an appropriate Aide Training Program
• Completion of a Central Technician Program
• Minimum 6 months of previous experience in Central Supply

• NICHSPDP Certification required
