American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience, an active MI RN license, and AHA certifications including NRP.

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Required certifications (must be AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Post-partum experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred
• COVID vaccination required for employment at this facility
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and family teaching
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed with a passing score onsite, typically one week prior to start
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to acceptance of the assignment; requests made after an offer is extended will require manager approval once the assignment begins
• Interviews are required for this position
