Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience, an active MI RN license, and AHA certifications including NRP.

Job Details

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a hospital setting,

• Night shift schedule,

• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts,

• 13-week contract,

• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital,

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required,

• Required certifications (must be AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, and NRP,

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required,

• Post-partum experience required,

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred,

• COVID vaccination required for employment at this facility,

• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans,

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and family teaching,

• Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals,

• Online orientation modules must be completed with a passing score onsite, typically one week prior to start,

• No blocked scheduling allowed,

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to acceptance of the assignment; requests made after an offer is extended will require manager approval once the assignment begins,
