AV Technician

Responsibilities

The AV Technician is responsible for implementation of systems our clients use with pride and confidence. Accountabilities may include:

• Installation of audio-visual equipment
  • Mounted in racks
  • Mounted on the wall
  • Installed from the ceiling, unistrut or I-beams
  • Installed in table-cubbies or credenzas
• Installation of infrastructure to support AV equipment
  • Threaded rod/Unistrut
  • Low-voltage electrical boxes
  • Surface or in-wall raceways and conduits
• Running/terminating low-voltage cables to support AV systems
• Use of ladders, hand tools and electrical tools
• Use of lifts
• Reading and understanding plans
  • Floor plans
  • Reflected ceiling plans
  • Schematic diagrams

• Midtown Video will provide:

• Opportunities for industry training and certifications including OSHA, AVIXA, and specific Manufacturers such as Audinate/Dante, Shure, Crestron, Biamp, etc.
• System Engineering and technical support

• Electronic tools for testing and measuring cables, testing system inputs and outputs

After a 90 day review period, Midtown Video offers full time employees 5 paid personal days and 7 paid holidays per year.
