Overview

Carpentry Estimator - Shop Fitting / Commercial Fit-Out – Smethwick. Salary £45,000 - £55,000. We're looking for an experienced Carpentry Estimator to join this company's growing team, working on high-quality shop fitting and commercial fit-out projects. This is a key role for someone who understands carpentry packages inside out and can confidently price projects from tender through to final account.

• Preparing accurate estimates and take-offs for carpentry and joinery works
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies
• Assisting with tender submissions and commercial reviews
• Working closely with project managers and site teams

• Proven experience as a carpentry estimator, ideally within shop fitting or commercial fit-out
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, and interior fit-out works
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach
• Experience with estimating software is an advantage
