MET Technician

Location: Darlaston

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Night shift MET Technician for a reputable accident repair centre in Birmingham, West Midlands. Duties of a MET Technician:

• Repair and replace mechanical, electrical, and trim components to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose vehicle damage and execute repairs efficiently and accurately
• Work within set timescales while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Ensure all repairs adhere to health and safety guidelines as an MET Technician
• Complete all relevant job documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Liaise with colleagues, parts departments, and management as required

Requirements of a MET Technician:

• Relevant qualification in vehicle body repair, automotive engineering, or equivalent experience as an MET Technician
• Proven experience in repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Ability to work under pressure and meet productivity targets
• Experience aligning repairs with manufacturer specifications
• Sound understanding of health and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
