The Role

Responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of plant machinery and LGV vehicles within a workshop environment, ensuring all equipment remains safe, compliant and operational.

Responsibilities

* Service, inspect and repair plant and LGV vehicles.

* Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.

* Complete preventative maintenance inspections.

* Prepare vehicles and plant for operational deployment.

* Complete job cards and maintenance records.

* Maintain a clean and organised workshop.

* Support breakdown and recovery activities.

* Assist with refurbishment projects and major repairs.

* Attend mandatory training and record CPD.

* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.

* Call Out based on a rolling Rota

Technical Skills & Experience

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

* Experience maintaining plant machinery and/or LGVs.

* Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.

* Ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications & Training

* NVQ Level 2/3 in Heavy Vehicle, Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering, Iretec Accredited (desirable).

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* LGV/HGV Licence desirable.
