HGV Mechanic

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable

HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join our client's busy workshop in

Tipton
.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV technician, but we are also keen to hear from candidates who are new to the HGV industry and looking to develop their career, provided they hold the relevant vehicle maintenance qualifications and have a positive attitude towards learning.

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing safety inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Repairing and replacing vehicle components as required.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
• Working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
• Previous HGV experience is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working on cars, vans, plant, agricultural machinery or other commercial vehicles will also be considered.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a workshop environment.

• Competitive hourly rate of £15.00 - £22.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
