Floor layer
Location: Dudley, Sandwell & Wolverhampton
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Floor layer to join their team, covering properties across Dudley, Sandwell and Wolverhampton
.
You will be responsible for installing and repairing a range of resilient floor coverings within residential properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare subfloors, including cleaning, smoothing, levelling and minor repairs.
- Install flat lay vinyl flooring in kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas and other residential spaces.
- Fit cap and cove flooring systems, including forming coves and welding joints.
- Carry out hot and cold welding of vinyl flooring where required.
- Measure, cut and fit flooring materials accurately.
- Ensure all work meets the required quality and safety standards.
- Work respectfully within occupied properties, keeping work areas clean and tidy.
- Complete job sheets, paperwork and relevant documentation.
- Liaise professionally with residents, supervisors and other members of the team.
- Proven experience as a Floor layer.
- Experience installing flat lay vinyl and cap and cove flooring.
- Experience preparing subfloors and using smoothing compounds.
- Competent with hot and cold welding techniques.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Salary up to £31,000 per annum
