Description
Drive accuracy and accountability across our financial operations. Ideal Ready Mix is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support reconciliations, inventory, and reporting across multiple locations.
What You’ll Do- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (AR, inventory, royalties, hauling variances)
- Support month‑end close and prepare journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile inventory records across multiple locations
- Complete GPS inventory reviews and partner with operations to resolve discrepancies
- Apply customer payments and monitor AR aging
- Assist with vendor setup, AP payments (check/ACH), and 1099 preparation
- Prepare sales tax filings and performance reports
- Support compliance, reporting, and special projects as needed
- 2+ years of accounting experience (construction, aggregates, or manufacturing preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelors degree in Accounting/ Finance preferred
- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience (Acumatica a plus)
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
