HIGHLIGHTS

• Clinic based practice with inpatient consults and call

• Shared weekday and weekend call rotation

• Must be available 2 3 weeks per month

• Mandatory gratis on 24 hour call (0 4 hours)

• IMLC accepted; IA licensing considered

SCHEDULE

• Clinic schedule:
Monday Thursday: 9:00am 3:30pm
Friday: 8:00am 12:00pm

• Weekday call: 8:00am 8:00am (rotational)

• Weekend call:
Friday 8:00am Monday 8:00am

• Call coverage shared with other providers

CASE MIX

• Diagnostic cardiac catheterization

• Angioplasty and stenting

• Stress echo and nuclear stress tests

• Reading echocardiograms

• Holter and event monitor interpretation

• TEE

• Cardioversions

• Some general cardiology call coverage required

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

• Outpatient clinic setting

• Inpatient rounding and consults included

• Clinic volume: patients/day

• Inpatient consults: 5 10/day

REQUIREMENTS

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiology

• Active Iowa license or IMLC

• DEA

• Comfortable with interventional and general cardiology call

• Credentialing timeframe: 60 days
