Position Overview
The Adult Education and Literacy Lead Instructor is responsible for providing competency-based instruction and programming to help adult learners develop the skills necessary for employment, training, and/or post-secondary education. The Lead Teacher will provide structured course plans; identify and develop curriculum; conduct student orientations, and coordinate testing and data management. Additionally, this position will spend a portion of their time providing leadership and training to other AEL instructors, such as but not limited to, best practices and strategies in instruction, technology, classroom management, and student documentation processes.
This position is assigned to the West Burlington campus.
Start date is negotiable, but the successful candidate must be available to start no later than July 1, 2026.
The Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program Lead Instructor will abide by the employment contract and relevant policies and guidelines of the Board of Trustees.
Job DetailsThis position is a full-time position (261-day contract); with an annual starting salary of $45,760.00.
