Description:

Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations.
Floating is a requirement for any non-critical care inpatient units, including to the emergency department if necessary.
Critical care experience may allow for occasional floating to the CCU.
Every other weekend rotation is required.
Telemetry unit ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Medical/Surgical unit ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a basic dysrhythmia test will be given in the first week of the assignment.
Passing this test is required to work on the telemetry/medical surgical unit.
