Description:

The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment.
This test must be passed in order to work on the telemetry/med surg unit.
The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Coordination with other health team members is essential.
Effective interaction with the patient and significant others is required.
High standards of professional nursing must be maintained.
The position provides care to various patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry.
Floating to other non-critical care inpatient units is a requirement.
There may be occasional floating to critical care units if the traveler has relevant experience.
Every other weekend rotation is mandatory.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Medical/surgical ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Cerner EMR is utilized.
