Description:
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to the following patient populations: adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test-out will be given during the first week of the assignment.
This must be passed in order to work in the ICU-CCU unit.
The unit uses Cerner EMR.
Floating to other units is expected.
Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:3-4.
Every other weekend rotation is required.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
