Position Title: Welder

Wage: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs)

Location: West Burlington, IA

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Welder to join our client's team in West Burlington, IA, working with advanced robotic welding systems to deliver precise, high-quality results in a production environment. This role involves MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and aluminum, with a focus on meeting strict tolerances and maintaining consistent weld quality. Candidates should be skilled in aluminum welding and capable of producing strong, clean, and visually appealing welds.

Experience in high-volume manufacturing and the ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred. If you take pride in craftsmanship, efficiency, and attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and tools.
  • Fit, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Grind, clean, and finish welds as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on welding equipment.
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Complete required documentation and production tracking.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous welding or metal fabrication experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to pass weld tests if required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, sparks, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Use of required PPE including welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing.
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
