Position: Registered Nurse / Clinical Facilitator | 40 hours per week | Surgical Services (OR)

Job Opportunity

Eligibility for a $10,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates. Scheduled hours include 8 hour shifts when in staffing and 12 hour shifts when in the Clinical Facilitator role, with on call requirements.

Job Description

This position requires a nurse who provides patient care regularly and has strong communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and all other health care disciplines. Facilitator responsibilities include the effective and efficient utilization of resources and the day to day operations of the surgical schedule, staff schedules, staff assignments, staff development, quality monitoring, assistance with development and implementation of improvement action plans, and department project work.

Strict adherence to standards of care related to the perioperative patient population utilizing best practice. Must be a high functioning, independent practitioner able to work closely with nursing leadership on the development of additional services and staff needs. Must be able to function as a resource to the department of nursing for patient related needs. Strong communication, time organizational, and leadership skills are essential.

Co-chair for department staff meeting, participating in the agenda preparations.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in nursing (ADN) required. Bachelors degree in Nursing or other related field preferred. Health care experience within the last five years preferred. OR experience preferred. Electronic documentation/keyboarding experience preferred. IV Conscious Sedation experience preferred.
