Description:
Delivers care to patients intra-operatively utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Delivers care to patients intra-operatively in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with surgical patients and health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, circulating procedures, instrumentation of procedures, and assisting surgeons and/or anesthesia providers.
Provides high-quality care to surgical patient populations of any age undergoing surgical procedures in various specialties. Clinical care activities and nursing services include circulating, instrumenting, first assisting, patient education, and serving as a resource nurse. Call requirements include approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period. Response time is expected to be within 30 minutes.
