RN - Medical / Surgical / Telemetry
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work on the telemetry/med surg unit. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to various patient populations. Positions available on medical surgical units and telemetry units. Estimated work week of 36 hours with the possibility of overtime. Candidate may be required to float to other campuses veler will not be part of a regular call rotation but may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Floating is a requirement in units including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. ACU requires every other weekend rotation. Basic dysrhythmia test must be passed to work on the telemetry/med surg unit.
