The City of West Carrollton is accepting applications for a Part‑Time Laborer to support the Parks and Recreation Department in maintaining City buildings, parks, right‑of‑ways, and recreation facilities. This part‑time position (up to 29 hours per week) performs seasonal and year‑round maintenance tasks, including lawn care, trash collection, restroom cleaning, basic repairs, athletic field preparation, event setup, and operation of light equipment.
Salary range is $17.21 – $20.79 per hour DOQ. Benefits include an attractive retirement plan under the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). Additional benefits include a variety of supplemental insurance options such as Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Short-Term Disability, along with access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support overall well‑being.
Required Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours to meet departmental needs.
- The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, city officials, and the general public.
