Position Summary
As an Associate Distribution Coordinator, you will initiate, maintain, and compile records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment and post weights and shipping charges. Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped. Review customer orders, examine, stock and distribute merchandise, products and materials in distribution center.
Essential Functions- Compare nomenclature, stock numbers, and other listed information on packing slips to verify accuracy of purchase orders and shipping orders.
- Compile and perform data entry tasks to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records; use data sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, etc.
- Verify inventory computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors and document discrepancies with proposed corrective action.
- Maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in‑process production reports, and status of material locations.
- Compile information on receipt of disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and compute inventory balance, price, and cost.
- Package materials and equipment ensuring that shipping documentation is accurate and materials are protected adequately for shipment; determine most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation.
- Initiate investigations into causes of misdirected shipments, damage or shortages in shipments or overcharges in freight cost.
- Adhere to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the Adva Med Code, Med Tech Code, and all other company policies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office software and document management software; ability to navigate the Internet.
- Possess interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and capacity to adjust focus.
